Talk at Bridport’s Literary and Scientific Institute

Talk at Bridport’s Literary and Scientific Institute

Well, I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and no, I have not been procrastinating! Broken limbs and family commitments have eaten my time, along with a graduation and the publication of Sherbet Lemons, my poetry collection, last summer.

The talk will be based on my MSc research, concerning the link between procrastination and childhood trauma; and how personal writing can hack into the sub-conscious and re-wire our fear-based procrastination response. I will be reading some of my poetry in this talk, and displaying some artistic (I use that term, loosely) sketches of my self-protection dog, called ‘Jim’. Intrigued? Well, get those booking fingers ready because the details will be announced soon!

The talk is on April 2nd 2020 (Thursday) at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) At the Literary and Scientific Institute (LSI), 51 East Street, Bridport, Dorset. DT6 3JX . Tickets are £5.00 and available from the LSI, here
